HONOLULU’S PREMIERE LION DANCE TEAM

Lion Dancing
Lion dancing is both a sport and an art, requiring physical conditioning to express the beauty of the dance. The Asian Lion Dance Team primarily plays southern futsan style lion dancing.
Martial Arts
Martial arts provide a strong foundation for lion dance. The Asian Lion Dance Team practices an eclectic mix of kung fu styles, including both northern and southern styles for hand sets, weapon sets, and combat sets.
Discipline
Keiki members will learn discipline as they progress in the team. Through focus and practice, students hone their skills and lead the way for younger members.
Camaraderie
There are plenty of opportunities to participate in team activities. Students will build long-lasting relationships as they learn, work, and play together.

About Us

The Asian Lion Dance Team was established in 1994 to perpetuate Chinese culture and art.
Under the guidance of head coach Brandon Ho, students are taught discipline, respect, and camaraderie.
They work together as a team with a shared love for martial arts of various styles and lion dance.
